On June 9, 2024, the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church celebrated its annual Parish Feast Day; Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus & Immaculate Heart of Mary, with the heartfelt theme of “Enduring Love: Honoring the Past, Present, and Future.” This joyous event marked the culmination of a nine-day Novena, filled with prayer and reflection, leading up to the community celebration on the parish grounds.

The Feast Day was a vibrant affair, bringing together parishioners and community members for a day of entertainment, fellowship and remembrance. The event featured performances by talented parishioners, showcasing their musical and artistic talents. Lucky number drawings added an element of excitement, while bingo games provided a fun and engaging activity for attendees of all ages.

A significant highlight of the day was the special honors given to several parishioners. Both those who have passed and those who are still with us were recognized for their numerous contributions to the church since its inception. The in-memoriam honorees included Felix Ballesteros, Andrew Evans, Aurelio & Mary Del Rosario, Leticia Castillo, and Wallace Tamashiro. Honorees still with us included Midy Eharis, Sue Obado, Alma Ballesteros, Joe & Priscilla Felipe, and Roberto Hera. This tribute served as a poignant reminder of the enduring love and dedication that have sustained the parish community through the years.

Additionally, a heartfelt mahalo goes out to the many sponsors who generously donated to the event, making the day a resounding success. Their support was instrumental in creating a memorable celebration for all involved.

Parish Feast Day not only celebrated the rich history and traditions of the parish but also looked forward to a bright future, rooted in the same enduring love that has been its foundation. The event was a testament to the strength and unity of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish community, reaffirming their commitment to faith and fellowship.
